I am starting to wonder if it really was Steve Clifford holding Malik Monk down or if it was, in fact, the badness of Malik Monk holding Malik Monk down. Because last time I checked, the Hornets had a coach whose name wasn’t Steve Clifford, Monk’s minutes are way down from the beginning of the season, and he’s shooting sub-40 percent from the field by a lot of percents.
Hornets fans probably aren’t even mad that I’d insinuate such things. They seem like a reasonable fanbase, I bet they know that Monk shows some really nice flashes but is mostly a not-very-good player. Hornets fans, don’t disappoint me by coming in here and saying that Monk is actually really good and he’s still being held down by [CHINLET HORNETS COACH]. I’m trying to make you look good here.
I don’t know why I’m talking all about how bad he is when he just hit a whole bunch of threes, I guess because I’ve been being too optimistic about players lately. You know how long it’s been since I called someone a bust? A long time. Way too long. I used to call everyone a bust. John Wall? Bust. If he’s a bust, Monk can definitely be one too. Man. I’m so close.
Maybe next description.
