For some reason I was down on Spencer Dinwiddie early in the season. That’s what I remember, anyway, but now I’m looking at his game logs and I’m like “that’s not so bad”. And he seems to be doing fine now. I’m hoping that was a one-time thing, because I don’t like the idea of losing faith in Din-Dins. If we can’t find hope in his immaculately-kept facial hair and sweet shooting stroke, where can we find it?
I didn’t watch the entire end of this game, but I’ve been gleaning from angry social media posts that the Nets got screwed by the refs. I’m staying neutral on the matter, but in any case, it’s a shame that Dinwiddie’s career-high-tying 31 points (including some clutch shots and a couple end-of-quarter buzzer-beaters) went to waste. Same with D’Angelo Russell’s 38, and Allen Crabbe’s 0.
Maybe I wasn’t down on Dinwiddie earlier. Maybe it was Crabbe, because that dude is definitely sucking eggs right now. Nets fans, if you want to feel better after that loss, remember that he’s the highest paid player on the team with his 18 million contract. Why are you crying?
