It wasn’t going to last forever, but it was still a little sad to see Nemanja Bjelica enter a slump after his blazing start. He was basically god for the first 10 games of the season, he was leading the Kings to wins that weren’t wins last year, it almost felt like a dream (or a nightmare, if your Tom Thibodeau). Everyone on the Kings was better when he was on the court.
The Kings were slumping with him, and while I don’t especially care about that, the NBA is more fun when a team like them unexpectedly makes a run for the playoffs. Imagine that! Kings and playoffs in the same sentence without the word “not”. I’m pretty sure I mocked them for even daring to believe. Who’s the stupid one now? It’s me.
Hopefully this marks the end of the slump. It certainly is a good omen, with him scoring 18 points and Sacramento beating the Jazz (who used to be good, and maybe still have the ability to be good). This vid was a little lacking in Serb-Serb connections with Bjelica and Bogdan Bogdanovic, but it did have a bunch of sweet threes that indicate that his 50 percent shooting from deep isn’t a fluke. Of course, if you only watch his highlights, he’s shooting 100 percent. From everywhere on the floor.
Remember people, you have to watch at least a few games in an NBA season otherwise you don’t get to have an opinion on things.
