We interrupt your regularly scheduled description to bring you this very important update:
Jabari Parker needs more touches in the second half of games.
Every game it’s the same story: he starts off well, scoring a couple buckets early. Then his touches start dwindling, he gets benched for a while, and he never regains his mojo. Does he still have the conditioning problem he had in Summer League? It doesn’t seem so, so what else could be the cause?
I think Kidd and the rest of the coaching staff are thinking “Maybe if we don’t forcefeed Jabari we could win more games.” That’s the peril of getting off to a hot (for the Bucks) start. Jabari doesn’t need to be brought along slowly. Give him touches, and watch him score 20. It’s not called “developmentball”, it’s called basketball.
