Lou Williams is an example of what happens when you give a reasonbly talented player the ultimate green light. I’m surprised that he can convert any baskets at all, considering the intense green spotlights that are shining into his eyes at all times.
There are a lot of players who could approximate his production, given the leeway that he is afforded. He’s always been something of a facilitator; this year, while his assist percentage isn’t quite at Nick Young levels, it’s getting close. His shooting percentage is hovering around 40. Normally these attributes would make him a hated player on whatever team he happened to be on.
Normally. Not in this case, because the Raptors are a contender, and teams with that designation always need a 6th man chucker lunatic. Lou is performing his duties admirably, and with his team winning there are no complaints.
My only complaint is that he looks like Brandon Jennings and thus gives me bad, panic inducing, flashbacks. Making these highlights was a real struggle, a struggle I only bore because of my devotion to my subscriber base. You’re welcome.
