Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has a special place in my heart, occupying space next to a dangerously-clogged artery and my memories of Sarah, the cute girl who lived across the street from me for one year in second grade. How has Luc gained access to this privileged part of my anatomy, you may ask. Good question! During his time with the Bucks, he endeared himself to me with outstanding defense and an offensive game that was never forced (until his final year, anyway). We always brought in players to start over him, but they always turned out to suck, so we apologized and put Luc back into the starting lineup. Always.
Now, with no expectation of wins, Luc can take the next step and develop his offensive arsenal. His shaky jumpshot seems to have improved; previously, all he could do was wildly drive to the basket. Just in time, too, as he is now 28 years old and his time is running out. I want to see some thirty-point games by season’s end. This is his only chance; what if he gets traded to a team that’s actually competing?
