I’m gonna be honest here, I don’t really know a whole lot about Tim Hardaway Jr. I know his dad was a pretty good point guard in the 90’s. I think he may have gone to Michigan. Or Michigan State. I get the two confused sometimes. He can definitely dunk. And shoot threes. Those are two very good things for a basketball player to be able to do.
What are the chances that he’s only playing basketball in an attempt to earn the admiration of a father who never really had time for him? When Hardaway Sr. is laying on his death bed, will he say “Son, remember when you scored 14 points against the Hawks during your rookie year? I was so proud of you. I love you, son.”? Will he then take his dying breath as his son looks on? Will Jr. then feel the tears welling in his eyes, and before he knows it he’s racked with sobs, and he sobs until no more tears come out, but keeps sobbing because it’s not the kind of thing you can stop?
Probably.
