Chris Kaman 28 Points/17 Rebounds/6 Assists Full Highlights

The start of the Lakers game against the Suns was a perfect microcosm of Chris Kaman’s existence. He took a ton of shots and played absolutely no defense. That’s what he does usually, but this time it was especially pronounced.

When that ball touches his hands, he almost always looks to score. Sometimes he’ll look to make a crazy pass. Never a simple one. That is not Chris Kaman’s game. Scoring is his game. It helps that he has a variety of offensive moves at his disposal. He can face-up jumpers no problem. Turnaround fadeaways Kobe-style? Why not? Post-ups with either hand, augmented with a selection from his assortment of moves and counter-moves.

Sounds pretty good doesn’t it? So why doesn’t he play? Well, I can’t overstate how much of a chucker he is. He doesn’t give a crap. He wants to shoot. The amount of crap he does not give carries through on the defensive end. Again, I can’t overstate how poor his defense is. Unless he thinks he can block a shot, no effort at all.

Enjoy these highlights. Kaman will probably not get to play again after such a brazen performance.
