Mike Muscala 13 Points/2 Real Blocks Full Highlights (11/15/2014)

Ever since LeBron had his triple-double taken away from him thanks to a misattributed assist, boxscore inaccuracy has been a hot internet topic. It’s not a new thing, but when stuff happens to LeBron, that’s when people realize that the statkeepers pretty much can’t tell their own left butt cheek from a hot ham-n-cheese sandwich.

Statistical inaccuracy, exhibit B: Mike Muscala got credited for four blocked shots. One was clearly not a shot attempt, and the other, Muscala didn’t even touch the ball – it was clearly swatted away by Thabo Sefolosha. So, not only is Muscala artificially lifted up, his teammate is artificially brought down. The NBA is a twisted, twisted organization.

It’s a shame, too. If Muscala had really lived up to the stats attributed to him, I would have changed my username to DownToBucknell. That’s how hyped I was going to be. Now I just sit here in a hopeless, no, hypeless misery-daze.
