You can sometimes tell that these national commentators don’t really know what’s going on. That’s fine, I guess. It’s hard to keep track of all the players, even I mess up sometimes.
So I can forgive whoever it was for saying that Wes Johnson is a young player who is expected to get better. He might seem young, because he sucks and has been in the league for a mere five years, but he’s already 27. We might still see improvement from him, only due to the fact that he’s been such a bust so far.
To be fair, he’s been shooting a little better this year, though his shot attempts are way down from his year in Phoenix where they inexplicably let him chuck like he was not a bust. It’s hard to get a lot of shots when Kobe is around, so I’ll give him credit for being not horribly inefficient and playing within his means. Or whatever.
