Brook “Set-Shot Willie” Lopez has been nearly forgotten by Brooklyn fans (except for his contract). They have been enjoying Mason Plumlee, thank you very much. Brook’s been injured for so long that it feels unnatural for him to play.
But the fact of the matter is that Mason is nowhere near the talent offensively that Brook is. Mason can dunk. That’s cool. Brook can do that as well as hit hooks, turn-around J’s, and other fancy things. We all know about his problems defensively and on the glass. I’m not brushing it aside, like it’s not there. Good offensive usually wins out in situations like this.
