Tony Snell is why I have to stopped getting hyped about Summer League performances. I KNOW that they mean nothing, that any player with a smidgen of NBA talent can look really good, but I can’t help myself. I want to believe, I want players to be good, I want them to be good RIGHT NOW so that if I die I will at least have gotten to see them not suck in the NBA.
Snell has had some good games against actual competition in the regular season. He hasn’t sucked for his ENTIRE time in the NBA. That much is true. But he is as consistent as a drug addict made to run a daycare. Sometimes it works out for him, most of the time it absolutely does not.
