Jrue Holiday had a good game. He made some shots and made some passes. He hit a game winner. The Pelicans won. That’s cool. But really, the only thing I could think about while editing these highlights was how awesome those Pelicans “Mardi Gras” jerseys look. The Pelicans rebrand as a whole was a rousing success in my opinion, but if they had gone for the green-purple-gold color scheme instead, I would have immediately handed in my Bucks punch card (be a fan for ten years and the eleventh year you don’t have to be a fan anymore) and become a fan of the Pelicans instead. I am easily persuaded by pretty colors.
I am also easily persuaded by good scoring performances, and I am ready to proclaim that Jrue Holiday will be sixth man of the year. Now I just need to find out if I’m supposed to keeping pronouncing his name “Juh-roo” or if I should be saying “Drew” instead.
