Marreese Speights 16 Points Full Highlights (3/9/2016)

Driving home from a well-earned win over the Jazz, Marreese Speights was struck by a sudden wave of nausea. Its passing was as quick as its onset, and he shrugged it off to perhaps that funny-looking pineapple that had been provided in the locker room. To attribute the nausea to other causes…he didn’t want to think about that.

However, when a sudden blast of pain shot through his head, with an apparent epicenter at the cyst on his head, Marreese knew it was happening again. Disoriented by the pain, he pulled over to the side of the highway, sweating and grimacing. “Not again,” he moaned as the unearthly visions once again assaulted him.

Although his eyes were closed, Marreese could see scenes of destruction, scenes of annihilation, scenes of domination in his mind’s eye. “It will happen soon, Marreese,” screeched a high-pitched voice inside his head. “Humanity trampled under our might, perhaps enslaved, perhaps eradicated entirely…your race can do nothing but bow to our power.”

For years the lump on the top of his head had been a mere cosmetic annoyance, but now Marreese knew the truth: it was actually a receiver for malefic alien transmissions!

“Stop!” Marreese yelled to the confines of his car as other vehicles sped by, their drivers oblivious to the scene. “Why are you showing me this?”

“You are the chosen one, Marreese,” said the alien voice as images depicting mangled human bodies and triumphant alien overlords continued to flash through his mind. “A prophet, if you will, tasked with warning your kind of the impending alien onslaught. But nobody will believe you, Marreese, and when we arrive unnanounced in your solar system, the only possible outcome will be the utter destruction of Earth!”

The nausea was too much, and Marreese vomited all over the dashboard of his car. With vomit dribbling out of his mouth, he collapsed back into his seat, heaving loudly and shivering. “No…no…”

“YES!” the voice shouted, and then it was gone, leaving Marreese alone. Stunned and sickened by the images he had witnessed, he began to weep.
