Matt Barnes is already 36. What the heck. It seems like just yesterday he was trying to make Kobe flinch by pretending to throw the ball into his face; now Kobe is about to retire and I can’t stop crying, oh god…
I’m back! Sorry about that. Kobe might be close to retirement, but Barnes is still looking pretty much like his old (HAHAHA) self out there. I didn’t think he’d be anything more than a low-minute intensity guy for the Grizzlies, but he’s playing good minutes and producing at about the same rate he always has. This is not what usually happens when a player gets to their mid-to-late thirties.
Trippy-doobies are also not something that usually happen to a player his age. Especially if that player has never gotten one before. And don’t worry about the NBA taking this one away; all of his assists are, surprisingly, legit. See for yourself, and wonder why he waited until 12 years into his career before showing this kind of passing ability.
