Thirteen points at halftime means twenty-six at the end of the game. That’s how math works. I would know. I’m a math expert. But, somehow, Norman Powell flouted all the rules of math that we normally abide by, and ended the game with thirteen points after having accumulated that total in the first two quarters. In the final two quarters he scored no points. Zero. He barely even attempted any shots.
I blame Dwayne Casey. And Raptors fans. And Kyle Lowry. In that order. Dwayne Casey for not drawing up more plays for Powell, Raptors fans for accommodating Drake and his antics, and Kyle Lowry for not passing it to Powell more often. Sixth or seventh on the blame list is Powell himself for not being more assertive. He probably knew that being assertive on the court would earn him a benching from Casey. It happens to Valanciunas all the time.
