The emergence of Norman Powell has obscured in the minds of many one of the large issues facing the Raptors as they head into the playoffs: DeMarre Carroll.
This dude was supposed to be a big time player for them, and what does he do? He sucks for a while, and then gets injured. Just great, DeMarre. Typical. He was the piece that was supposed to put the Raps over the top, and he treats his chance as an all-expenses-paid vacation, appearing only to wear some ridiculous outfit at the All-Star game? Championship windows close just as fast as they open; has DeMarre selfishly slammed Toronto’s shut?
