This is what happens when you spend too much on big-name free agents. You end up starting guys like Sergey Karasev. This guy didn’t play hardly at all last year with Cleveland, and was a throw-in in the trade that sent him to Brooklyn. A player with those attributes doesn’t scream “starting caliber shooting-guard” to me.
Not hating or anything. I’m sure Sergey is a swell dude and he’s actually not doing so bad in his role. It’s just, you know, the Nets kind of wanted to make the playoffs this year, and a playoff team should have a better starting lineup than Jack-Karasev-Johnson-Garnett-Plumlee. Look at that. It’s just sad. Injuries make me sad.
