Joffrey Lauvergne 14 Points Full Highlights (12/3/2015)

In “The Battle Between Foreign Backup Centers who were Never Supposed to Start”, Frenchman Joffrey Lauvergne convincingly outplayed the Congolese Bismack Biyombo. Even the most ardent Raptors homer would readily admit that 14/10 with two fouls is quite a bit better than 6/7 with four fouls.

The regularly scheduled “Battle Between Starting Foreign Centers” that was to pit Jusuf Nurkic (Bosnian) versus Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuanian) was cancelled due to injuries, so we had to make due with some lesser foreigners duking it out. We were also treated to “The Battle Between Foreign Third-String Centers who were Upgraded to Backup Centers”, where Nikola Jokic (Serbia) outscored and outrebounded Lucas Nogueira (Brazil), the latter only retrieving one rebound in fifteen minutes despite standing seven feet tall.

The amount of countries represented in each team’s center rotation makes the whole thing sound like an international conflict. I would not be surprised if some trade agreements were breached during this one.
