Robert Covington is currently suffering from “Gerald Henderson Syndrome”. I have no idea if he’s actually good or not, because the team he plays on is so putrid. We can only find out his true skill level once the 76ers get better or he goes to a different team.
I know he was on a good Rockets team last year, but that doesn’t count because he only played a few minutes in a few games.
I’m trying to figure out if Covington will go the way of James Anderson, the three-pointer shooter who did well with the Sixers but then had to take a deal overseas. Or will he be more like Spencer Hawes, who also did well with the Sixers and then continued to do well after he was traded? We can only speculate at this point.
However, one thing we do know is this: Robert Covington looks like a little version of Larry Sanders. Albanians in Philadelphia had better stay indoors for the time being.
