Marreese Speights 26 Points Full Highlights (1/2/2015)

Okay, here’s one for you: should Speights be the permanent starter over Bogut, even when Bogut’s fragile body heals itself to the point where he can play? I hear your laughter from here and it displeases me. Sure, the defense would suffer, because Speights doesn’t have the same defensive instincts, but there’s a saying: “Offense wins championships”. Speights has a lot of offense; Bogut doesn’t. Bogut last shot jumpers in college, he elevates like an elderly woman, and he lumbers more than a lumberjack. He also doesn’t have a sentient tumor on the top of his head that tells him secret messages from aliens. Speights has such a tumor.

Plus, with Draymond Green in at the PF spot, you no longer need Bogut’s passing ability at center. All you need is a center who can put it in the hole without his ankles breaking off or his back getting mangled. Sorry Bogut.

Who cares that the Warriors would be starting five players who all prefer to shoot jumpers? I don’t know what spacing is, but whatever it is, it’s not important. Points are important. Points win you games. Spacing has never won anybody anything.
