I’m sure there are a lot of good things about Quincy Miller. Blah blah length blah blah athleticism blah blah shooting blah blah blah. However, there’s one thing that forever taints him in my view.
He shoots his free throws too fast.
Usually a player has a whole ritual that he goes through before he even entertains the notion of shooting a free throw. Dribbles, spinning the ball, staring at the ball/basket/floor, foot shuffling, that kind of stuff. Quincy Miller just throws it up there and it catches me off-guard. In the past I’ve complained about players taking too long at the free throw line, well, I take all of that back. They can take as long as they want. Just don’t surprise me like that. It startles me and makes my anxiety act up.
