As a Bucks fan, I am intimately familiar with Ersan Ilyasova’s hot/cold tendencies. However, it was rare for him to display both polarities of his game in one night. Usually he would be sorta-kinda hot for the whole game instead of doing all his damage in one quick burst. It was either that or just being an absolute brick machine.
In this contest, Ilyasova dropped a 15-burger first quarter, hit a few shots in the middle of the game, and then totally didn’t do anything at all until the very end of regulation, where he got fouled on one of his slow pump fakes and then choked at the free throw line.
Since he failed to put the game away when it counted, his trade value is at an all-time low. I’m thinking Spencer Dinwiddie and Ersan Ilyasova for Michael Carter-Williams and Chris Copeland would work. A bad PG and good stretch PF for a “good” PG and bad stretch PF is totally fair, especially when the good stretch PF has no value around the league anymore because he can’t hit his throws when it counts.
Please come back, Ersan. We can go back to the old times.
I miss you.
