My standard for videos these days is if it doesn’t get 1,000 views, it probably should never have been brought into this world. Such is the case with my “Ian Mahinmi 12 Points Full Highlights” from early November. Right now it stands at 997 views (actually probably 998 because I just clicked on it and it started playing before I could stop it). If somebody really wants to make me happy, they can go that video and watch it two times. Or two different people can each watch it one time. Then it will have 1,000 views and I won’t feel like an idiot for having wasted my time creating something that nobody wants to watch.

It’s not even really my fault. I thought that Mahinmi scoring twelve would be his season high. How was I supposed to foresee that Mahinmi would have a breakout season at age 29 and start having good games on the reg? That’s part of what makes basketball great, but it’s also part of what sucks about making all these highlight videos.
Now I just have to find 250 more people who want to watch Lavoy Allen scoring 14 and my life will be complete.
