Whatever the reason, you should be glad that Trey Burke got that last free throw to go in, because there was no way I was doing highlights if he only scored 24.
The difference between 24 and 25 is the difference between a mediocre performance (remember, DownToBuck does not deal in mediocrity) and a good performance. Compare these two sentences:
“Kobe Bryant selfishly chucked his way to 24 points as the Lakers lost.”
“Kobe Bryant placed the team on his back, scoring an efficient 25 in a decisive Lakers win.”
