Are you allowed to say “Jesus” as an oath on television? Because Tommy Heinsohn just totally did it (0:49) and I haven’t heard about him getting fired or anything. Mike Gorman tried to cover up the “Jesus” with some play-by-play but you can still totally tell what he’s saying.
Rules for TV are different than rules for YouTube so I can say Jesus as many times as I want without anybody getting mad at me. As in “Jesus, Sullinger has a bodacious booty” or “Jesus, Sullinger’s arms are seriously flabby” or “Jesus, since when is it okay for a power forward to shoot 42% from the field on a diet of long two-point jumpers?” If you reformulate those sentences it sounds like I’m praying to Jesus directly about these questions and not swearing.
