Derrick Williams AKA “Mr. Bust Man” is actually…gulp…playing pretty decently this year. He’s still totally a tweener with no defined position, and he still can’t really hit threes very well at all, but he’s showing off some of the promise that caused him to get picked second overall. He actually reminds me a little bit of another overhyped tweener picked second overall. What’s that guy’s name again? Jabbar Parkman? Dakari Clarker? I don’t remember right now but I’m getting Derrick Williams vibes from that guy.
What blows my mind is that Williams is only 24. He’s not even in his prime yet. His prime is actually still two years away. He’s got until that time to put things together and if he succeeds, he officially won’t be a bust anymore.
