Not to sound too negative here, and I’m sure Portland fans will disagree (frickin hipsters), but this current iteration of the Trailblazers looks like all the worst parts of various semi-recent Bucks teams all smashed together:
Damian Lillard = Brandon Jennings (chucker)
C.J. McCollum = Michael Redd (chucker)
Allen Crabbe = Khris Middleton (actually good)
Noah Vonleh = Joe Alexander (bust)
Tim Frazier = T.J. Ford (short)
Mason Plumlee = Larry Sanders (hates basketball)
Chris Kaman = Joel Przybilla (old)
Al-Farouq Aminu = Giannis Antetokounmpo (young)
Meyers Leonard = Andrew Bogut (soft)
The only way to salvage the situation is to trade everybody except for Allen Crabbe and then build around him, otherwise Portland will be looking at a decade or more of alternating between 8th seeds and blown lottery picks.
