Austin Rivers making five three-pointers in one game has got to be one of the more unexpected statistical aberrations we’ve seen this season. Even after this downpour of triples, he’s averaging well under one made three per game.
I just had a statistical aberration too. Usually I try to eat my breakfast-flavor Hot Pockets really quickly before they get cold. In the last week I’ve been averaging about three minutes per pocket. Today, though, it took me five minutes to eat the first one and then seven minutes to eat the second one. It’s not like they were too hot to eat or anything, and they were just as tasty as they always are. I think I must have eaten too many appetizer Pop Tarts. Yeah I know that breakfast doesn’t have an appetizer but in the DTB household it does.
After my dismal performance this morning I’m averaging about 3.25 MPHP (minutes per hot pocket) on the year. It’s a contract year for me so I’m definitely going to have to pick up the pace. Sort of how Rivers is trying to play better now so that his dad’s team is forced to give him a max contract in two years.
