Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 19 Points Full Highlights (1/31/2016)

It’s confirmed. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s jumpshot is still utterly broken.

You can see it on his first made three. We’ve got a good angle almost directly behind MKG, so it’s easy to see how both of his elbows kind of curve to the outside when he’s setting up the shot. We’re also treated to plenty of free throws where he does the same; thankfully, he seems to have given up that little hop he used to use on them. There’s an unspoken rule that if you have to jump on your free throws, that makes you a loser.

We already know that Mark Price can’t fix MKG’s screwball form and I don’t know if there’s any other shooting coaches out there who would even want to try. We’re just going to have to hope that MKG makes that ugly form work for him. At least he shoots it above his head. He’s already better than Kevin Martin in that regard.
