Mario Hezonja 17 Points Full Highlights (1/31/2016)

Alright, here we go! Finally, a game for Mario Hezonja that doesn’t fall into the “okay for a rookie”, “bad”, “didn’t play”, “disappointing”, or “purulent” categories, but instead fits squarely into the “good” category. The definitive performance of his career, to this point.

And, what do you know, it’s all jumpers! The kind of shot is going to allow him to make some noise in the league. Dunks are iffy unless you are a freak of nature or a center. Mario can throw it down when he desires to do so, but even Gerald Green can’t make a whole career of just depositing balls directly into the hole. Jumpers are the way to go, definitely.

Now that Mario has passed the 15-point mark for the first time, we can start looking ahead to the 20-point barrier. Not too far ahead, though, because, despite the confidence Scott Skiles showed in him this game, that confidence can be quickly evaporated by one missed defensive rotation, and he may soon find himself facing a deficit of minutes once again.
