Is it wrong to think that Carl Landry could put up 20 and 10 if he were simply put in the right situation? Him and J.J. Hickson. 20 points and 10 rebounds per night, made possible by playing on a team that is the perfect fit. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
The 76ers are, apparently, not that team, because Carl isn’t even close to those numbers right now (per 36 he’s actually not too far off, but they’ve shown that they don’t respect his abilities so he has to be moved anyway). We have to look in a different place. Like my local high school’s girls basketball team. I’ve seen them and their opponents play; they really don’t seem that good. Layups are an iffy proposition for them. Is there any chance that opposing teams would be able to stop Carl from scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds? He’d just be too big and strong for them to handle. 25 points might even be attainable in this scenario.
