Another year, the same Kenneth Faried. I don’t think anyone was really expecting him to add anything to his game this season; if they were, they were being wildly optimistic. He shot a few threes last year in contrast to this year where he’s only shot one, so if anything you could say that he removed aspects from his game.
And that’s okay. Sometimes you don’t want a guy who needs the ball to be effective. Sometimes you don’t want a guy who wastes everyone’s time by taking iffy jumpers. Sometimes you want dunks and rebounds and hair flying in all directions. That’s what the Manimal has provided for his entire career, and that’s what he will continue to provide until he tears an ACL/MCL/XCL and loses his athleticism and thus all his value on the court.
