When I heard that the Grizzlies were tapping a guy from the D-League to start for them at point guard, I had to take precautions to make sure I didn’t enter the hype zone. Giving a guy making his NBA debut that kind of responsibility could only end in something awesome. Either the “0-5 from the field, two assists, four turnovers” kind of awesome or the “somehow does productive things on the court” kind of awesome. Luckily for Grizzlies fans and highlight makers alike, Briante Weber was the second kind of awesome.
