If Doug McDermott scored 20 in a single game at any point last season, I would have been so hyped. Beyond hyped. A rookie scorer finally balling out and proving the haters wrong? People would have been lining up to see highlights of something like that.
Doug McDermott scoring 20, like he did tonight, doesn’t excite me anymore. He’s not a rookie anymore. After seeing those huge games he had against the Raptors, everything else seems decidedly “eh”. I supposed diehard fans of his from his college days might still find enjoyment in this video. For everybody else, just watch his highlights from last game. 29 points is still something, rather than nothing.
