Eric Gordon is slowly rounding (get it? rounding… because his head is really round! hahaha) back into form after a fairly disastrous first dozen games. Somehow, the Rockets hadn’t won any of the first two recent games where he was really good, but they won this one, and I bet that will start a trend. Eventually the Rockets will stop playing so bad, their role-players will start coming to life (starting with Gordon apparently), and things will be back to normal.
Which sucks, because I love seeing good teams do bad and implode. That’s because, as a Bucks fan, I am jealous of teams which have continued, sustained success. Never mind that the Bucks might be good this year. That doesn’t matter. When the Warriors lose, when the Rockets lose, it fills me with more joy than any Bucks win ever could. Call me a hater if you want. It is not an inaccurate title.
The Rockets totally crushed the Spurs tonight, with Gordon dropping 26 in limited minutes. I say I like seeing the Rockets lose, but even though the Spurs aren’t as good this year, I like seeing them lose too. Popovich has had his head up his own butt, enjoying the smell of his own flatus, for way too long.
