John Collins Career High 30 Points/1 Ejection Full Highlights (12/8/2018)

Here’s what I wrote when John Collins scored 24 points 2 games ago:

“I’m willing to bet on the inevitability of a John Collins thirty-pointer if there is anybody out there stupid enough to take the other end of the bet. The terms are simple: John Collins. Thirty points. By the end of the season. What am I putting on the line? A 1% stake in my renowned highlight channel. That might not sound like much, and it isn’t, in fact, very much when you’re looking at it from a pure monetary asset standpoint, but the prestige, and, dare I say it, straight-up unparalleled RELEVANCE make the bet more than worth it. Any person who takes this bet has to agree to give me a check for $100,000 dollars if they lose. These terms are non-negotiable.”

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Less than a week later, Collins goes out and scores 30 points! I win the bet! Problem is, it turned out there was no one stupid enough to take the bet after all. Which sucks, because I could really 100 grand right now. I mean, everyone could, but I REALLY could. This gig doesn’t pay enough, or anything.

Collins has really been impressive lately, notching a new career high in three consecutive games. This one maybe could have been predicted, since Nikola Jokic is seriously unequipped to deal with a center like Collins who can dunk and stuff. But still, I was expecting to have to wait at least a little bit before the 30-burger.

It is fitting that Collins also set (or tied) a career high in ejections with 1. I know what Malik Beasley did was kinda skeezy (but also not, when the clock is running defense is still allowed to be played, especially by the losing team), but there was no reason to hipcheck him into oblivion with two seconds left in the game. Now both sides look bad.
