The Bucks tonight were content to let Serge Ibaka beat them. I wasn’t keeping exact count, but it seemed like every three he took was wide open. Some of them egregiously wide open. Kawhi Leonard attracted the bulk of the Bucks’ attention, as they tried to make other players beat them, and their strategy worked. Ibaka hit a bunch of shots, but was only 4 of 11 from three instead of the 8 of 11 it easily could’ve been.
I don’t remember if that’s the same strategy the Bucks employed last time they faced the Raptors, but it’s possible that it is, since Ibaka went 12 of 21 that game for 30 points. They say that Thon Maker is the Raptors killer, but does it matter when Toronto has a far more potent Bucks killer on their roster?
