If LeBron can take this Lakers team to the Finals (which would be a miracle, but bear with me), people will talk about it like those Cavs teams he dragged to the finish line early in his career. “Yeah, MJ was great, but LeBron took a team with Kyle Kuzma as the second best player to the Finals and only lost that game seven because Brook Lopez hit 14 threes”. That’s what they would say.
When I imply that Kuzma is the Lakers’ second best player, I only say that because he’s averaging the second-most amount of points. That’s how I determine rankings of players. Obviously someone like… actually, looking at the roster, who else is for sure better than him? JaVale McGee? LMAO. Lonzo Ball? ROFL. I think I was underestimating how messed up the Lakers roster is. Every player has some serious flaws (including Kuzma but not as much as the others) or is old and not effective playing big minutes.
Okay, so Kuzma is the Lakers’ second best player. What the heck were the Lakers doing this offseason? And if they’re going to make a trade, they need to set their sights higher than frickin’ Trevor Ariza.
