Emmanuel Mudiay Career High 34 Points/8 Assists Full Highlights (12/14/2018)

Welcome to the club, Hornets fans. The club we are talking about is a very exclusive one, the “Butts Kicked By Emmanuel Mudiay Hitting A Whole Bunch Of Ridiculous Shots In An Overtime Game” club. And as I sit here watching morose Hornets fans trickling in with a face like “what the frick just happened”, I have to say, this club sucks.

I thought Mudiay was on his way out of the league. That’s what I really thought, and I know I’m not alone in having that (mistaken) opinion, because anyone who watched him last year or the year’s previous knows that he wasn’t a good player. He may have looked good at times, but those times were overshadowed by big streaks of turnovers and bricks. I figured he would disappear back to China after this year, and that would be that. I mean, he still could, if he gets a huge enough contract offer over there, but he’s showing that he can still be a viable backup PG in the league. Maybe even a starter, if you’re the Suns or Knicks or something.

He’s not supposed to be doing what he did against the Bucks, and tonight against the Hornets. He’s not supposed to take over and win games for his team by getting buckets. But that’s what he did: he took over the game. 28 second-half points, a two-point win, totally outplayed Kembrick NeedsAWalker, you have my condolences Hornets fans. Stay strong.
