For some reason, God has cursed me with the inability to dunk. He has also cursed me with a skinny frame and noodle arms that don’t have much muscle. There are many other afflictions He has cursed me with, but these are the two that are relevant to the discussion at hand. If we combine the two curses, we come up with a new curse: God has cursed me to never be able to dunk on somebody and then flex my muscles at them. Even though I pray hard about it every day multiple times.
I don’t know what Jaylen Brown did to deserve this privilege. It’s so unfair. He gets to play on national TV, dunk on Giannis, then get T’ed up when he shows off his impressive biceps, while I sit here impotently making highlight videos depicting athletic feats that I could never hope to achieve myself.
I suppose it evens out. God might have blessed Brown with dunking ability and a muscular body, but He has cursed him with the inability to shoot free-throws. Brown was 2-of-7 on freebies in this game, and he airballed one. If you’re under 6’10” and you’re airballing free throws, that’s real bad news. Advice to Brown: start praying to God for him to lift this curse off you. It didn’t work for me but I might be praying wrong.
