Another straight-up beast performance by Montrezl “Mzrkhzm” Harrell. Kosta Koufos just could not hold him at all. At all. Not even a little bit. This kind of violence perpetrated against the big Greek dude should be classified as a hate crime. Or a crime against bald people. Which is also a type of hate crime.
If I’m Montrezl, I’m marching right into Steve Ballmer’s office, and, after waiting for him to finish chanting “Developers! Developers! Developers” into his computer screen, I’m telling him that my contract is not enough money. I’m telling him that six million dollars per year is not enough and that if the contract doesn’t get voided and replaced with a new one worth 2.5x that amount, I’m going to refuse to enter games. That’s the perfect tactic for Montrezl to use since everybody knows that without him, the Clippers would have way fewer wins. Probably six or seven fewer at least. He has all the bargaining power in this exchange.
And if Montrezl does go through with that plan, he owes me at least 20% of the total value of the contract since I’m the one who came up with it first. Then he can also hire me as his agent since I know how to play hardball with these front-office types and I’d be happy to be his rebounder if he ever needs one while working on his jumpshot.
