Luke Kornet Career High 23 Points/7 Threes Full Highlights (12/27/2018)

Anyone else getting vibes from the time Kyrie Irving went into Madison Square Garden and scored 41 points while wearing a mask? Those are the vibes I am receiving from this 23-point game by Luke “Kornhole” Kornet. There’s just something about putting on a mask that makes a performance seem way more special. Like the player is overcoming adversity in the form of facial injuries, or like the player is a superhero donning a new alter-ego, a new alter-ego that is way better at basketball.

This is THE iconic Kornet game. That much I believe, and you should trust me on this, because I’ve seen all of his notable games. He did have 23 points at the end of last year, but that was one of those “scrubs only” games where the stats count for half of what they usually do. This one had all the components needed for a “statement” game:

-Threes
-Dunks (well, just one dunk)
-Masks
-A few assists (not shown)
-White
-Against a good team

The only thing wrong with it is that the Knicks didn’t win, and that’s not even his fault. It’s Fizdale’s fault for trying to play Enes Kanter when it was obvious that Kornet is the one who can punish Brook Lopez for not wanting to defend on the perimeter.
