If you’re on the fence about watching this video or not, consider the following: by my intricate mathematical calculations, this 18-point performance by Abdel Nader is roughly equivalent to Stephen Curry scoring 200 points.
Now, you shouldn’t be on the fence about watching this video in the first place. There’s almost no chance that you’ve actually watched any non-college Nader highlights before. So him making any appearance at all on this channel should be an instant click. But if you are having doubts, think about how quickly you would click on a video depicting Curry scoring 200 points in a sanctioned NBA game. You would not have even a moment’s hesitation.
Nader, as far as I can tell, sucks at scoring. He’s just not good at it. There’s no element of offensive basketball in which he does not suck. Maybe he can shoot threes? Fine. But still. He fooled me in his NBA debut (against the Bucks, which is the only reason I saw it), when he scored 4 points and I couldn’t believe we were letting him dunk all over us. I thought that would be some sort of springboard to greater success.
It wasn’t. His season-high that season was 11, which isn’t so bad all things considered, but his season-high this season is back down to 4. Or, it was, until he took a big pyramid-shaped dump right on the Suns tonight. I hope Suns fans realize how unlucky they got. If there’s ever a time when a fanbase is justified in wailing “why do scrubs always go off on us?”, it’s tonight.
