D’Angelo Russell 33 Points Full Highlights (12/28/2018)

New Year’s resolution for D’Angelo Russell: develop some god-damn consistency. I’m so serious about my desire to see him be consistent that I prefaced it with a “god-damn”. This is not just a vague thought that I have, that maybe it would be kinda cool if he didn’t score 35 one game with a bunch of assists and then 35 the next game with no assists and then 7 the next game with 12 assists and then 12 the next game with no assists. Can we settle on something like 17 and 7 on a consistent, regular basis?

For one thing, that would mean I wouldn’t ever have to do highlights for him, because 17 is enough points for a video, and I’m sorta getting burnt out on him. He’s great, don’t get me wrong. When he’s on, his midrange game is one of the sweetest in the league. It’s just, you know, I like Shabazz Napier too and he never gets to do anything with the two-headed chucky monster of Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie hogging all the minutes and possessions and balls.

Speaking of Dinwiddie, once again we were shown that he and Russell seem to be incapable of having a good game in the same game. There’s something going on there, something involving basketball powers and glowing auras and mystic energies and rituals, but until I disguise myself as a potted plant and plant (get it? HAHAHAHA) myself in the locker room, I won’t have the deets.
