Are those not legitimately All-Star-esque numbers? I would say they are. People have been All-Stars for a lot less. John Collins is a legit 20/10 guy in his second year in the league, he’s shooting a league-best 65.5% on two-point shots, and I’m having trouble containing my excitement about him.
I’m so excited for Collins that I have set into motion plans to start a YouTube channel called “The John Collins Hype Channel” where, in addition to feature-length John Collins highlight videos, I will upload videos of myself screaming John Collins’ name into a camera while wearing one of those foam fingers and pouring soda on my head. Other content on the channel will include me cutting out Pop-Tarts in the shape of the Hawks logo and mailing them to Collins, me wearing a Collins jersey while playing pickup basketball at the YMCA, me editing Collins’ Wikipedia page to preemptively grant him this season’s Finals MVP, and me engraving the words “I ❤️ John Collins” into my torso with a razor.
