De’Aaron Fox 26 Points/7 Assists Full Highlights (12/30/2018)

Is there anything more fun than out-of-touch NBA team twitter accounts that use emojis and slang to try and relate to the younger generation? I don’t think so. Here’s the deal, people: no one is fooled. Young people aren’t fooled. Old people aren’t fooled (rather, confused). There was a time when teams tried to be professional in their front-facing media, and let the fans do all the stupid stuff (that’s where I come in). I don’t necessarily yearn for those times again, but it was different.

I’m not criticizing the Kings in particular for this. I’m just using that paragraph as a way to set up my complaint about there not yet being a Kings-sanctioned “What Does the Fox Say” remake featuring De’Aaron Fox and his Kings teammates dancing around in a Scandinavian forest. You want to appeal to “Millennials”? Why not use a several-year-old meme song?

There is, discovered by me after much Google-based research, some unofficial Fox-based clothing with the phrase, but it looks pretty amateur. We need the real stuff, the NBA branded stuff. Maybe even a bobblehead to go along with the parody music video. This would all cost a lot of money to make, but I don’t the Kings are hurting for cash at the moment. Look how many people are buying tickets for their games! Surely some of that ticket revenue could be put to some new, exciting multimedia ventures with Fox dressed up in a fursuit and looking really pissed about the whole thing.
