This was a career high for John “The Baptist” Collins, but I didn’t bother to note the fact in the title of this video. Why? Because I am convinced that, by the time this season is over, he will have scored thirty points in a single contest, making 24 points seem like worthless, unnotable garbage in comparison.
This isn’t even a bold prediction to make. Collins has shown to be an efficient scorer with deft touch around the basket, and as his Hawks teammates slowly come to the realization within their dimly-lit minds that Collins is a beast that needs to fed with touches, his scoring opportunities will only increase. With increased opportunities comes increased confidence, which leads to more hook shots which will only ever go in, so there will come a point this season where the only thing stopping Collins from dominating entire games on both ends will be his stamina and his coaching.
I’m willing to bet on the inevitability of a John Collins thirty-pointer if there is anybody out there stupid enough to take the other end of the bet. The terms are simple: John Collins. Thirty points. By the end of the season. What am I putting on the line? A 1% stake in my renowned highlight channel. That might not sound like much, and it isn’t, in fact, very much when you’re looking at it from a pure monetary asset standpoint, but the prestige, and, dare I say it, straight-up unparalleled RELEVANCE make the bet more than worth it.
Any person who takes this bet has to agree to give me a check for $100,000 dollars if they lose. These terms are non-negotiable.
