Lance Stephenson 17 Points Full Highlights (12/13/2018)

Since I don’t much care for Lance Stephenson or his playstyle, this video description will instead be about Alex Stepheson, a similarly-named but little-known player whose entire NBA career consisted of eight games in the 2015-16 season.

The main reason Alex Stepheson is on my mind is because he had a game with the Grizzlies where he scored twelve points, but, for some reason, I didn’t make a highlight video to immortalize the occasion. In hindsight, it’s obvious that twelve was going to be his career high in points. He was on the outermost fringes of the NBA and had little hope to ever get enough minutes to score more than that. But, for reasons unknown, I ignored him.

Perhaps I was swayed by the fact that he went 5-of-17 from the field. Perhaps I didn’t want to celebrate such a poor shooting performance with a highlight video. In my younger days I had ethics and integrity, and would take a stand against poorly-shooting players by denying them their rightful highlightage. Both ethics and integrity are foreign concepts to me now.

I looked up Alex Stepheson’s Wikipedia page to see where’s at now. He’s playing in the Japanese B-League (oddly named, since there is no “A League”), and, judging by the picture on his page, he’s really porked out. I guess you don’t need to be svelte and mobile if you want to dominate the little Japanese people. Before Japan, Stepheson was in predictable places like China and the Philippines. I bet he was fat in those places too.

So, there you have it. Wasn’t that way more interesting than hearing me whine about Lance Stephenson and his poor shot selection?
