Somehow, the Nets are finding room in their rotation to give Jared Dudley 20 minutes per game. Maybe that’s why they’re not a good team this year? Because they’re giving a starting job (recently revoked) and a bunch of playing time to a do-nothing chubby vet? Savvy vetness can carry you a long way in this league, and Dudley has been good as recently as, like, three years ago, but he’s showing his age.
It’s blowing my mind right now that he’s only 33. How is he only 33? He was old when he was being the veteran leader for the Bucks a couple years ago, but now it turns out he was less that 30 years old at the time? What the heck is going on? I guess I have to apologize to him, because I’ve thought for the whole time I’ve been an NBA fan that he was older than he actually is.
And while I’m doing my apologizing, he can turn around and apologize to Nets fans for taking up a whole bunch of minutes and not even shooting threes well like he’s supposed to.
